Tjovi Ginen came to life in the early 1990’s during the nascent Boston World Music Scene. Tjovi Ginen is a primary example of Haitian roots music. It has no boundaries and embraces all colors, nations, and creeds. A mainstay in the East Coast music scene, Tjovi Ginen is an ensemble of seasoned musicians representing their Latin, African and American culture and history all supported by Vodou rhythms and Haitian chants. They’ve shared stages with the likes of Boukman Eksperyans, Sweet Mickey, Bim Skala Bim, and their second LP, Zulu Bong, is their strongest material yet!
